EPFO Enhances Auto-Settlement Limit for Advance Claims to ₹5 Lakhs
Higher Limit for Quick Claims
The Employees’ Provident Fund Organisation (EPFO) has raised the PF withdrawal auto-settlement limit for advance claims from ₹1 lakh to ₹5 lakhs. This change, effective from June 24, 2025, aims to help millions of EPFO members access funds quickly during emergencies.
What is PF withdrawal Auto-Settlement?
Auto-settlement allows claims to be processed automatically by the system without any human involvement. Introduced during the COVID-19 pandemic, it now covers claims for illness, education, marriage, and housing. With the new ₹5 lakh limit, more claims qualify for this fast-track process. So, Para 68J: Advance from the fund for illness in certain cases increased to ₹5 lakh .
The advances for housing, education and marriage are also enabled for auto mode processing as per press release dated 17 MAR 2025 with Release ID: 2111756.
Faster Funds in Three Days
Claims under the enhanced limit will be settled within three days of submission. This ensures members receive timely financial support when they need it most.
