MCA Extends Companies Compliance Facilitation Scheme (CCFS-2026) Till 31st August 2026

The Ministry of Corporate Affairs (MCA) has announced an extension of the Companies Compliance Facilitation Scheme, 2026 (CCFS-2026) by over a month, citing operational challenges at its data centre following a fire incident.
In General Circular No. 03/2026 dated 8th July 2026 the Ministry informed that the scheme, which was originally set to expire on 15th July 2026, will now remain valid till 31st August 2026.
What is CCFS-2026?
The CCFS-2026 was launched to provide companies with a window to complete pending statutory filings without facing additional penalties or prosecution. The scheme aimed to ease the compliance burden on businesses by offering a facilitated route for filing overdue documents with the Registrar of Companies. Read more about CCFS-2026
This extension comes as a relief for many companies, especially smaller entities and those still recovering from post-pandemic compliance backlogs. With the data centre restoration work ongoing, the additional time will allow businesses to complete their filings without facing last-minute technical hurdles or penalties. Companies are advised to utilise this extended window and ensure all pending documents are filed at the earliest to avoid any future complications.
