How to change Company email id in MCA master data
In the MCA V2 portal, changing a company’s email ID was quite cumbersome, as it could be done directly through most of the e-forms, including annual filing forms.
However, with the transition to the V3 portal, this functionality has changed. In the V3 system, the ability to update a company’s email ID is not available through e-forms for annual filings.
Instead, stakeholders can update the email ID of the company by creating a Company/LLP business user and accessing the ‘Profile Update’ page. Once the new email ID is updated there, it will automatically reflect in the Company Master Data. Create Company/LLP business user on V3 portal. Use company CIN/LLPIN to login.
This change ensures a more easy and simple process for managing company details. But please note, though change of email id is linked to profile of the company on v3, for record purpose (good governance practice) pass board resolution. The board resolution should mention the new mail id and effective date of the change.
