Annual Filing Due date extended

Good news for companies gearing up to complete their annual filings! The Ministry of Corporate Affairs has announced a relaxation in deadlines, giving businesses more breathing room to submit their financial statements and annual returns for FY 2024–25.
In response to requests from stakeholders, the government vide General Circular No. 08/2025 dated 30th December 2025, has extended the filing date for key e-forms — including MGT-7, MGT-7A, AOC-4, AOC-4 CFS, AOC-4 NBFC (Ind AS), AOC-4 CFS NBFC (Ind AS), and AOC-4 (XBRL) — to 31st January 2026.
Importantly, companies can file these forms without paying any additional fees during this extended period.
This move comes as a continuation of the earlier circular issued in October 2025, and all other requirements under that circular remain unchanged.
For businesses, this extension is more than just a compliance update — it’s a chance to catch up, organize records, and ensure filings are accurate without the pressure of looming penalties.
