Latest professional tax on salary/wage earners in the state of Maharashtra
Maharashtra government vide L.A. Bill No. XIII of 2023 Dated 20th March 2023 revised profession tax slab for salary and wage earners to give effect to the budget proposal. According to this notification there will no profession tax on women employees earning salary & wages up to Rs. 25000/- per month. This amendment will be effective from April 01, 2023.
Since the April 2023 , government has not amended profession tax rates in Maharashtra. Below profession tax rates are applicable in Maharashtra for Salary earners during the Fy 2024-25.
Here is the revised Maharashtra Profession tax slab rate :

Professional tax rate for the month of February?
For salaries above ₹10,000/month, PT is ₹200/month from March to January and ₹300 in February, totaling ₹2,500/year. For male employees earning ₹7,501–₹10,000/month, it’s ₹175/month, totaling ₹2,100/year. So, do not forget to deduct ₹ 300/- for the February month.
